“Where Hope Meets Hospitality: Celebrating Positive Stories and Best Practices with People on the Move”

In collaboration with Don Bosco International, JRS (Jesuit Refugee Service), the Chapel for Europe, and the Africa Europe Faith and Justice Network, the Community of Sant’Egidio is co-organizing this special event for World Refugee Day on June 11 at 19:00 at the Chapel for Europe in Brussels. The initiative showcases positive migration stories and successful integration models to inspire empathy, encourage partnerships, and foster a more inclusive society. A key highlight will be a presentation by a volunteer from  Kamiano, a soup kitchen named after Saint Damien of Molokai that provides free, dignified meals and a welcoming “home” for Brussels’ street friends and displaced refugees navigating local reception systems. Following the main program, all attendees are warmly invited to a reception for further conversation and networking. An information brochure is available here.
